Keep drafts private
Saving updates the private project draft. Authenticated Preview shows that saved draft, including unpublished pages and entries. It is separate from the live website and requires project access. Preview forms are disabled.
- Wait for the saved status. Resolve save errors or conflicts first.
- Open Preview and check copy, images, menus and responsive layouts across the project.
- Select Publish or Publish changes. In Review changes, inspect affected content and preview the draft.
- Choose Publish website to update the published snapshot. If the confirmation shows Ready to host, choose Set up hosting or ask a project administrator. Otherwise, choose View website.
Publishing includes the saved project draft, including other pages, collections and shared information. Ordinary content publication does not require a website deployment.
Check the live website
An active hosted address serves the published snapshot. Later draft saves stay private until the next publish. Open the live address signed out to check what visitors see.
Published managed enquiry forms save messages in the project Inbox. Administrators and publishers can read and archive them. Managed forms do not send email notifications. Imported custom forms may use their existing integration instead.
Every managed page includes Built with mallowmint, including pages with no editable footer.
Set up website hosting
Building and private preview are separate from hosting payments. Each website has its own hosting subscription and designated payer.
- A project administrator opens Project settings → Website address before checkout. If no Mallowmint address is shown, choose its name beside the fixed domain suffix and select Add. If domain connections are not configured, contact Mallowmint before paying. Then open Hosting.
- Pay for hosting assigns the administrator as payer; Create payer link lets someone else accept responsibility. Share the returned link yourself; it is not emailed.
- The recipient signs in with the invited email address, verifies it and accepts billing responsibility. This grants billing access, not project editing access. Payment setup is a separate action.
- The payer reviews the monthly price and completes Set up hosting. On return, wait for Processing payment to become Active. Check again refreshes a delayed confirmation. Sandbox marks test payments.
- Open Hosting from the dashboard or Account to find websites assigned to you. Manage billing opens the available payment-management actions. Choose the intended payer before starting payment setup; replacing that payer is not available yet.
Connect a website address
In Project settings → Website address, use a Mallowmint address or add a Custom domain that you control. Hosting must be active before the address serves your website.
For a new Mallowmint address, edit only the name beside its fixed domain suffix, then choose Add. A matching full address can also be pasted. Choose the name before checkout; payment can provision the suggested address if none exists. This field does not rename an address that is already connected.
- Use the DNS records shown for that address at your domain provider. Keep unrelated records, including email records.
- Choose Check connection after updating DNS. A pending address is not ready; wait for the ownership, routing and secure connection checks to pass.
- Open a connected address signed out and check its pages, images, menus and enquiry form. If Hosting or Website address says it is not configured, contact Mallowmint before proceeding.
